The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard flooring. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

This robot vacuum performs well on floors that are unfinished and carpet with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some other models, and it can even clean up pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has a superior filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice claim but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only drawback is that it lacks an additional rubber brush to allow for more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you've got a lot of dirt.

In terms of the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and move on if it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash to the hidden bin, as well as washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something requires attention, like the water tank being empty or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleaned out regularly, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can even clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can here clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet with just one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

Additionally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as a voice assistant that works offline, so you can manage it even when not at home. It also has more mopping modes and a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a specific route.

The X2 Omni is the best mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor generates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a host of convenience features you do not often find on robots in this price. It can create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, there's a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. This button will turn on the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The central control panel is the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

This produces a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
