The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic option if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In the course of testing, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It is loaded with features and incredible cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is setup, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the structure of your home, and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a major issue if you want to own one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the maximum dirt level.

In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves forward.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical garbage into the bin hidden from view, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is not right, such as the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This is a great feature for those who have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be cleared out frequently, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could wish for. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its modern, sleeker design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It is more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its vacuum mop cleaner robot base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price range. It can build precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice but they also push the L10s into the class of luxury. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish that's highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by an enormous bumper, which protects furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage while moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor or quaker oats on the carpet.
